Fl-2014 ma’ Simone Galea kien il-koeditur u wieħed mill-awturi ta’ ktieb dwar The Teacher, Literature and the Mediterranean (Sense, Rotterdam). Fl-2013 mexxa l-ewwel konferenza nazzjonali interdixxiplinarja fuq Juann Mamo u kien il-koawtur u l-editur ta’ tliet kotba fis-Sensiela Juann Mamo (SKS). F’dawn l-aħħar snin ħadem ukoll fuq il-vuċi tan-narratur fix-xogħol tar-rumanzier Realista Ġużè Bonnici u fuq ir-rumanzi u l-ħajja tal-ewwel kittieba ta’ rumanzi bil-Malti, Concetta Brincat. Dan l-aħħar kiteb daħliet kritiċi għax-xogħlijiet letterarji ta’ bosta kittieba kontemporanji Maltin. He teaches Maltese literature and literary representations of the Mediterranean at the University of Malta and an introductory course on Maltese language and literature at Inalco in Paris. In 2013 he organized the first national cross-disciplinary conference on the irreverent author Juann Mamo (1886-1941) and edited three books on the author and his works (SKS), partly from a postcolonial perspective. More recently he has worked on the complex role of the narrator in the interwar Realist novelist Ġużè Bonnici. Prof. Grima has published academic works in Maltese, English and Italian and read papers at conferences around the world. In 2014 he co-authored and co-edited (with Simone Galea) and an international volume on The Teacher, Literature and the Mediterranean (Sense). A keynote speech he gave at the University of Oxford was published as a book chapter on “The Mediterranean Novel Defying Borders” in Minding Borders. Resilient Divisions in Literature, the Body and the Academy (Legenda, 2017). He has written critical introductions to works by various contemporary Maltese writers. He has been working on rhetoric and in 2020 he gave a talk about political rhetoric in Malta at Inalco. Recently he has done research on the first female Maltese novelist, Concetta Brincat (1870-1940), and her two novels. adriangrima.org
