Ilona Sciberras u Sumeia El Raes jingħataw il-Premju Oliver Friggieri u l-Premju Ġużè Aquilina għat-teżini tagħhom

Fit-12 ta’ Frar sar is-Seminar tat-Teżini, appuntament annwali tad-Dipartiment tal-Malti li għalih jattendu l-letturi u l-istudenti kollha tal-Baċellerat.

Waqt is-seminar Ilona Sciberras ingħatat il-Premju Oliver Friggieri għall-istudju tagħha fuq ir-rumanzi kontemporanji dwar is-snin 80 u Sumeia El Raes ingħatat il-Premju Ġużè Aquilina għall-istudju tagħha dwar in-nomi inaljenabbli fil-Malti.

Dawn iż-żewġ gradwati u tnejn oħra, Wayne Camilleri u Louisiana Micallef, għamlu preżentazzjoni dwar it-teżini tagħhom li ntlaqgħu tajjeb ħafna mill-bord tal-eżaminaturi tal-Malti.

Two graduates of Maltese, Ilona Sciberras and Sumeia El Raes, received awards for the BA dissertations which they submitted in 2023 during the seminar held at main campus of the University of Malta on 12 February 2024.

Ilona Sciberras was awarded the Premju Oliver Friggieri in the field of Maltese literary studies for her dissertation entitled “Ir-Rumanzi dwar is-Snin Tmenin minn Lenti Kontemporanja.” Sumeia El Raes received the Premju Ġużè Aquilina for her dissertation in the field of Maltese linguistics about “In-Nomi Inaljenabbli fil-Malti.”

The awards were presented during a two-hour seminar for all BA students of Maltese in which the graduates Wayne Camilleri, Louisiana Micallef, and the award winners presented their dissertations and answered questions about the methodology they adopted and the content of their research.
